Darlings, is it time for a J.Crew coupon code?

Yes, it is that wonderful time again! :)

  1. Well, it appears that my gc is set to arrive tomorrow. That's also the day I get paid! If I see something I want, I might order. I just don't know if I can handle it right now until I get my fionas.

  3. Too bad they can't offer a code for their fiasco, instead of requiring customers to enter a game to get it. I can't believe that apology email is gone already...we have had to endure this fiasco for going on 5 weeks now, and they only apologized for one day...very disappointing. :(

I WOULD love to order a few things if they show back up again, but the fear of them short shipping me or not shipping to me at all is holding me back right now...why, oh why, did this have to be?

Tired Memphian: YAY on the Gift Card, and I truly hope you get your Fionas! :)

  4. FabulousFloridaMommy: I agree that they should have offered some sort of "gift" to customers yesterday with their apology like "Free shipping on your first pre-system upgrade order".

I am also disappointed the apology was for only one day. :(

  5. This is not a coupon code, but I did call my local store yesterday to see if they would be willing to order me some online only items and get me the additional 40% off. They said sure. If you know your store well, this might work for you too.

  6. I'm sure online will probably honor the store sale prices, but it all comes back to the fact that it is really difficult to even have the item shipped to you, if at all. A dicounted item is only a good deal if you actually RECEIVE it, and I'm not confident that J.Crew can actually fulfill the orders.

  7. FFM, I totally agree, just trying to be optimistic.

However, it is a handbag that I wanted since it came out last August and never went on sale. It disappeared with the conversion and I asked about it in my conversation with the manager yesterday. Then yesterday afternoon it came back on the site. Keep your fingers crossed for me! Also - Maybe having the store order it will help? Not sure at this point.

  8. jenn_brak: I do hope you get your bag...fingers crossed! :) I may be in the same situation if my store doesn't have the Andrea Jacket...I will be forced to order via phone...UGH...

  9. FFM - Do not have them use the red phone to order your Andrea. Have them call other stores, or better yet, do it yourself. I do it for myself all the time when there is no coupon code for shipping. I just go to the store locator on the J Crew website and call the stores in the major urban areas, find the item and have it shipped. Often, you can convince them to send for free (if it is a full priced item. Then you have avoided J Crew's systems mess completely. I REALLY hate to pay for shipping!

  10. jenn_brak: Yes, I have done that before...it's actually how I got my Tulip Jacket last month. :) I will definitely push for the Free Shipping if I have to resort to ordering from another store, as I do NOT want to pay shipping on a $230 dollar jacket. ;)

  11. I agree with Alexis and FFM that they should have post fiasco shipping for all customers. I think they should do it for a full week or so. They should send out an e-mail (even though I seem to not get them at my acct of choice) saying "sorry for the last however-long, we are now back up and running use this code for free shipping on any order all week long." It would be great in September when I will actually want to buy fall clothes.

BTW this is OT but you'll forgive me. I found a trench at Bandolino (not online though) for 60 bucks that looks just like the tuesday trench but a little longer and it has a hood! I am buying it tomorrow!

  12. I agree with everyone - it's lame the apology lasted a day, and that we to enter a contest to get free shipping.

Speaking of this contest, I used the code twice as critter (I know, I'm bad - but the first time was for the san telmo, and the double strand flower necklace in guava became available again last night so...). Does this mean I'm going to get two subscriptions to Cookie magazine? I really don't want two subscriptions...even one really...I just wanted free shipping....:)

  13. One of the easiest things JCrew could do right now is offer free shipping. I just placed a big order at Piperlime and Banana Republic, and got free ship, as I always do with my Luxe card. Tried to order some things from JJill and the shipping stopped me cold. It would be so easy to do that, and a great PR move. They are idiots.

  14. I just went to the site, got super excited because it looked like the sale section had been massively expanded with all kinds of goodies. I spent a ridiculous 30 minutes looking at items only to discover that when I clicked on 90%of them they really weren't available. Kind of like the Uptown tote that says select colors $69.99 and then you click it and hmmm, nothing there for $69.99. It's so darn frustrating and a huge waste of time to have stuff up there that they don't even have to sell. Sorry to vent, but it has reached epic proportions this morning. GRRR. I miss the ol' days of JCrew.
