This is the weekly "sale watch" post, to help each other find sale
items at our
various local J.Crew stores. ;)
If
you are stopping
by a J.Crew store this weekend to see
what's available (if
anything!) in the SALE, or to see some NEW ARRIVALS {sigh!} in
person, maybe you might be
willing to share that with us in this
post. In particular, if you could
share with us a few of the
noteworthy items that are available, at
what prices, and potential sizes
the store is carrying (as well
as the store location)- that would be
fantastic!
Also,
please let us know if your local store is
carrying an additional percent
off sale. Thanks in advance!!! :)
P.S.
I noticed that many of
you have already been reporting sale
items (and in which stores) in
other posts which by the way "thank
you!" :) I really appreciate how
helpful we are for each other!

And now back to J.Crew! :)
I was wondering what the promo would be and some pricing games are in effect.
ReplyDeleteYesterday I almost bought the Weathered Rose cotton cashmere set (sweatshirt and joggers) which were on sale for 87.99 and 79.99 before discount. I hesitated because the pants were only available in XS. the caramel pants were also on sale. Today they are all priced as marked which was higher than last week’s promo, when I purchased the pants in black.
Not a need so I’ll wait. I did place an order for some earrings for my girls, and a few other things that haven’t shipped from previous orders.
This is new to sale and I have been eyeing it since MAQSAD (I think that’s how she spelled it) who used to post here was wearing the solid color on IG. I think it’s the type of sweater I’d be better off trying in person though, it may be too boxy.
Cotton-cashmere cable-knit mockneck sweater in stripe

Cashmere tees are on sale! Three colors of the short sleeved tee are under $30 after promos, and the oversized tee is under $40.
ReplyDeleteThanks for posting! I bought a short sleeve tee for $28!
DeleteThanks for the heads up! I bought a ribbed featherweight cashmere sweater with the cutest little pocket. Reviews were mixed, apparently some pilling, but there’s always a sweater shaver and in my experience pilling stops after a while.
DeleteYes, thank you! Ordered oversized tee in navy.
DeleteHas anyone tried the Gwen boots, lug sole, short shaft?
ReplyDeleteVisited the store for a return.
ReplyDeleteTried on
Pacific sherpa-lined leather clogs

I felt I could use a half size up from my smaller size but maybe they would mold to my foot. They seemed comfortable but they really looked terrible on my foot. I felt like a cartoon character. However for slippers I think they’d be ok. Note the ivory color costs less online. In my store they were 105.99 I think.
I also received the magic rinse crewneck and wide leg pants. They run really big. I always size up in sweatshirts because they are usually short and tight across the chest. The medium felt more like a large. The small pants were also quite loose. However it wasn’t the fit I disliked most, it was the mint color. It was a very light greenish gray but so light it felt like I washed white sweats with another color. Since I mostly wear black as I pulled them out of the package I realized this is a good reason to stick with black.
Picked up a long sleeve rash guard that I remembered having in my cart last week but disappeared when I signed in to check out. This time I signed it first before I started shopping! Also picked up a pair of magic rinse shorts for running in, and a Baird McNutt shirt since my attempt to buy the shirt dress was cancelled this summer. I wasn’t tempted by any cashmere since since I still have cashmere from last winter sealed in bags! was tempted by the reversible poncho but didn’t want wool-acrylic blends.
ReplyDeleteI ordered a second pair of the eco paddle shorts. I figured they would come in handy! I should look more closely at the rash guards.
Deletedoes anyone know if the zipper on the Villa coat is one-way or two-way?
ReplyDeleteStylist believes it’s one way. Cutting more 💲
Deletethank you, Lynn! so it’s not a coat I can drive in comfortably… If I get it for next to nothing, I could take it to the neighborhood Nordstrom’s service store and have the zipper replaced ($$), but right now I have other things to do, and there’s a closet full of coats that are sulking from not getting out and about.
DeleteReceived the last of my sale orders. Planning to visit the store tomorrow.
ReplyDeleteMerino wool dress in begonia. Dress was $34 when I purchased and now it's $102.50 (SMH). This is a lightweight merino; works well for mild temps in fall (temps are upper 70s and low 80s but morning temps are cool with 50s and 60s). Can be worn into the spring too because of the pink. Fit is tts; I have hips and buttocks, and the dress is falling over them and not hugging. I'm going to pair with suede wrap around pink heels from a few years ago. Also tried with Liberty print slingbacks and that's an option too.
Budding floral pjs. There were no reviews, and I was hesitant about the poly material for sleepwear, but no issues. Fit is tts and the print is very pretty. Online pics are an accurate reflection of the color.
I received a couple more things. 1 winner and a couple of returns. Winner is the cashmere sleeveless turtleneck in heather muslin. Absolutely lovely cashmere. Wore today with my field jacket and cream loafers to make my returns in store. Perfect warmth on a cool rainy fall day.
ReplyDeleteReturns: collection silk tuxedo shirt in black. Felt like the waitress. I’m sure others could style this beautifully but not for me. I have the cream and love it. Also returned the cotton cashmere rubbed turtleneck sweater in gray and brown. They both have pulls already out of the bag and I don’t think they will stand the test of time.
In store I really loved the somerset blazer in glen plaid and Bristol blazer in English herringbone. Both beautiful blazers. Definitely on my wishlist.
I switched seasons in my closet tonight in preparation for the rainy cold weather this week in NYC, and i’m embarrassed by how much cashmere I unearthed. I am not allowing myself to buy any more!!
ReplyDeleteHahaha! I say that every year... but then when sales happen, I always think, well, JC cashmere doesn't really last that long so...
DeleteHa, same. Or my thinking was OK, I sacrifice a sweater or two to the moths every year, I need to replace. This year, the moths only went after a wool APC sweater - no interest in nibbling on the JC cashmere for once.
