  1. Scooped up a pair of the bi-stretch wool patio pants in navy. I am wearing the same pants in the blue stone today, and really like them. Got a great price and free shipping!

  2. The RAYNER WIDE-LEG JEAN IN CRESCENT WASH are down to 23.99 today with the promo; mine arrived last night, and I called today for a price adjustment. They're awesome, kind of out there, but very french chic, with pointy toe flats and a boatneck shirt tucked in. They're also stretchy and super comfortable.

    1. I got them in Keller wash and was considering the crescent wash too. Last thing I need though, I wonder if the weight of the denim is lighter. They are really stretchy, I kind of wish less so, but I do like the silhouette.

    2. I don't know if the weight of the denim is lighter, but I really like the crescent wash, I think it will be really nice for spring/summer. The pair I got aren't faded like the picture online, they're more of an even very light blue.

    3. I ordered them! Good price and yes, chic style. A nice change from all the skinny jeans or boyfriend jeans.

  3. I just can't bring myself to hardly buy anything knowing it will be such terrible quality!

  4. Just placed a big order - only one item is a FS risk - the bi-stretch wool pants in black. I figure that I can get them tailored if need be. (Thanks Anne for your terrific review). A top fell out of my cart as I was checking out, so there's definitely traffic on the site today!

I also bought several of the Sunday Slim chinos which have gone over well with my daughters. $23.99 ain't bad and they can be returned.

    1. Those bi-stretch wool pants are so nice, i bought them too per Anne's great review. I purchased them FS as well but the size I ordered didn't fit me. I contacted Customer Service and they were willing to do a one-time courtesy waive, which I really appreciated. They've also re-sent them in a different size (I found them to run very, very small for me, perhaps on account of the higher waist.)

Thanks for the tip about the chinos, that's a great price and I really like some of those colors.

    2. So glad to hear people are liking the bi-stretch wool pants! I probably should have said I took the larger of my two pants sizes in these - I have to try pretty much all pants, some I'm one size, some I'm another.

The windowpane side zip pants showed up in a few sizes today but after hearing they don't have much stretch I couldn't risk the smaller size. Still hoping.

No orders (yet) today, I did snag the Stewart plaid perfect shirt on Wednesday morning after seeing a side by side comparison in which the plaid is brighter than the one from a few years ago. Really not sure I NEED two of these plaid shirts but we'll see. I bought a 10 which may or may not fit since the reviews are saying it runs small, I'm usually a 12 in button downs but my shirt from a few years ago is a 10 and fits, I just need to pin the gap between the buttons at my chest. :) I'm shocked to say that it shipped the same day and is waiting for me at home (will be curious to see which store it shipped from). On the other hand, the Polished crepe blazer in ivory that I purchased on December 10 arrived today as well.

    3. Anne, I hope the 10 works for you. I found it to run small. I wear a 4 in boy shirts & schoolboys, 6 in perfect shirts and regents. An 8 popped back and I ordered to try. I definitely couldn't go smaller. I quickly tried it on and it seems smaller.

    4. @Shopping Celle well it pretty much JUST fits. My chest desperately wants to bust free. Haha. I wish it were a little longer and would have loved to try the 10T because it's ok in the arms and shoulders. I just have a big chest which is why I usually need a 12. Checked the website on a whim and a 12 was in stock so I just placed an order (thank you free shipping) to try the 12 and also noticed the leopard collarless blouse came back in a 12 as well. Let's see how fast this order arrives!

The polished crepe blazer is really nice - I ordered a 10 and it is a perfect tailored fit and isn't stretching across my chest at all. (I'm usually a 10 in schoolboy blazers/12 in regent) It does not match my collection wide leg trousers in the same material, I'd have to look the specific colors up but this is more on the yellow ivory side whereas the pants almost have a pink tint to them. That's just my untrained eye. But the blazer drapes beautifully, I like the dressier collar and the sleeves are perfect. It's poly crepe.

  5. The order I placed earlier this week for the Campbell blazer in velvet was cancelled yesterday, but low and behold it showed up again today so I re-ordered it. Hopefully it will actually ship this time...fingers crossed.

I placed an order for the Contrast Floral Lace Skirt last week after seeing it on Anne-The Fab Life, and shared my review in this post today.

  6. I've also reviewed the J.Crew Edged Lace Blouse on my blog today. See my review here.

  8. And ps I just noticed that the violet poppy patio pants are $25. I'm not surprised - the fit on these was so odd - I tried a 14 and while they technically fit, they were crazy high waisted and don't fit at all like the other patio pants. They also have zero stretch. I do really like the print but it's too bad these were such a fail.

    1. Anne, I tried those pants too in my most common pants size 4. They were a total fail. I could get them zipped up but I definitely could not bend over. A six may work for me and that price is pretty tempting because I love the color and print. I also tried the collection peony pant in a size 6. They similarly were too tight and I would probably need an eight. The fabric is gorgeous on those though. I'm seriously considering giving up on J.Crew pants cause I am just not having any luck!

  9. I know it's December, but I'm having dreams of spring & summer already LOL! So, I ordered the graphic embroidery tee & halter beach dress in ikat this morning. Less than $40 for both, so I hope they both fit since they'll be nice summer additions for traveling. I also received the Collection Sleeveless Leather Jumpsuit. Fit is tts & there are lots of styling options that will make this a versatile piece for 3 seasons. This jumpsuit is NOT worth $795. The leather is soft, but thin; the elastic waistband is also not the best choice. Would've worked better with belt loops for sure or perhaps even a drawstring, IMO. With % off sale, Ebates & educator discount, it's worth keeping @ $270. While it's not JC, I also received my Vince wool drape coat in orchid today from Nordstrom. It's a love! Still waiting on other JC items to arrive early next week.

    2. I have never been able to shop out of season, which I know is how fashion is set up, but I can't get my head in it. I just feel chilly or sweaty thinking about it.

Also, I hate Spring/Summer colors for fashion and makeup, so it's an excellent time for me to travel and spend my money on something else :p.

  10. Lots of popbacks this morning, almost 3000 in Women's. I was able to get the Tall Boyfriend flannel shirt in Rockport plaid and a passport cover. Not much, but I'd been stalking the shirt so I was happy.

  11. I'm super excited. I was incredibly tired after work yesterday, I almost fell asleep when I got home, but I decided to refresh the JCrew page I was stalking and lucky me the Collection cashmere-blend Fair Isle pencil skirt popped back up in a small.

I haven't ever had an order cancellation, but after reading about so much here I didn't think about it as purchased until I received the shipping confirmation this evening :).

  12. Not sure if this is new info, but the chateau parkas are finally not excluded from promo. $255 instead of $365...

  13. It's funny why did they pull free shipping?

Luckily I was finally able to get the Bowery slim in green wool yesterday with free shipping. Been stalking the site daily ever since they were slightly discounted. With the additional discount they ended up being less than half the original price.

Today they are sold out and free shipping is gonzo.

    1. Jcrew guy, glad you got the pants! Sounds like you got a great deal. I don't understand why they pulled the free shipping either. Seems like they would have at least left it up until the 21st (last day to order to receive by Christmas).

  14. I snagged a chateau parka for $202 last week and I LOVE it. It's TTS in the shoulders and then has an a-line cut and is room towards the bottom. It's a different look for me but in a good way. Love!

  15. They got me yesterday. I ordered a Petite Excursion vest and a bunch of replacement perfect-fit tanks for net $15.75 each.

My V-neck Tunic Sweater (E5392) in Cinnamon arrived yesterday. Love the color! I sized down to an XS. It's still a little big but going down to an XXS would make the sleeves too tight.

  16. OT: I know there are many of us who enjoy shopping at Nordstrom, so I wanted to let you know that I've posted a review of a drapey sweater jacket I ordered from there recently. Check it out here if you're interested. :)

    2. Thanks TM93! It's even better in person. I have the size small coming my way this week to see if the arms will fit better, and imagine that it will be a keeper if they do. :)

  17. I just adore JC coats and every year buy at least two. I resolved not to buy any this year, but this sale got me. I got the stadium cloth cocoon coat in ginger, a color I have loved for the past couple years but have never actually seen in my B&Ms IRL, and the double cloth belted trench in warm olive. Not sure about the style, as I generally don't like to bother with belts, but olive is my color of choice this season and I don't have an olive coat. Also am trying the french lame metallic blouse in mauve that WWF reviewed recently -- I've been eyeing that for a month or so (love the color), but was hesitant unless I had a reliable review.

  18. FYI ...popped into the West Vancouver store to do an online return.
store was not busy . The sale section is bigger than usual. There are alot of shoes/boots and jewelery. I left with nothing. I kept two painter tees from my online order...returned everything else. Sale was 40% . I bet it goes to 50% in store here after xmas. it was last year. I will go in after the holidays to see but not again before the 25th. C

  20. Both my factory and retail orders are shipping....Yeah and they are coming 2nd day air so I should get them tomorrow. I placed both of these during free shipping but they would not have made it with Sure Post so I am glad J.Crew upgraded them. I also visited the clearance store this weekend and got the calf hair saddle bag in navy calf hair/black. It is a very nice bag for the price I paid. I love the black/navy combo, it goes with everything. I also got a pair of the gemma glitter flats, they were so cheap I couldn't resist. Not sure how or where I will style these as they are quite different but very pretty. My best find other than the bag was a pair of current season fair isle leggings in Navy. So cute!

  21. That's a beautiful bag - not sure I want to know the bargain price you paid for it! :)

    1. $65.00 which I thought was a pretty good price. I think the bag was $288.00 to begin with. They had one more for anyone that is in the area. The selection wasn't great this past weekend but I predict in January, they will probably have some good stuff with all the returns since J.Crew doesn't like to mess us their retail store sales floor with one of a kind items. These items will likely end up in Arden or Lynchburg.

    3. Don't croak everybody but I got an email from the clearance store that for today only they had ivory chateau parkas for $50.00 if you made a purchase of $75.00 with a limit of 5 per customer. I am not kidding but I think they must be factory as I don't recall ivory as a retail color, but how many do they have if they are putting a limit? I gave this email a double take...

      Delete
    4. that explains why so many ivory chateau parkas popped up on ebay for $150 - $200...

  22. Anyone want to predict what the after Christmas sale will be? I'm guessing 50% off sale items. I wish they would boost their 30% discount to 40% on some full price items too, but I think they will stick with 30%.

  23. OT again ladies: I've shared two reviews for booties on my blog yesterday and today for those interested. One pair is from Eileen Fisher (purchased on sale at Nordstrom), and the other is from a Portuguese brand called Cubanas (purchased on sale at Anthro). See the reviews here and here, respectively. :)
