It's like they found my pages in the trash and made a commercial out of it.Anonymousnoreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-1317882250647868056.post-36730619921234319702008-07-26T16:26:00.000-04:002008-07-26T16:26:00.000-04:00ccbmum: ah...hence the "w" by the name and locatio...ccbmum: ah...hence the "w" by the name and location of the store...duh...guess I should have looked at that while I was aimlessly wandering the website earlier. ;) Thanks for the head's up, and of course wouldn't you know that Florida has to be one of the states without one...go figure...Melissa@AllThingsSimplifiedhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/06076948687302539385noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-1317882250647868056.post-74016615964891699312008-07-26T16:17:00.000-04:002008-07-26T16:17:00.000-04:00FFM: the store out here in walnut creek, ca is a w...FFM: the store out here in walnut creek, ca is a women's only store and it's nice...i don't go to that one often enough to know if they carry more items though. if you look at the store locator you can see which ones are women's only :) looks like there aren't any in florida :(ccbmumhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/05408952345846667163noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-1317882250647868056.post-73994825334696773022008-07-26T15:02:00.000-04:002008-07-26T15:02:00.000-04:00If anybody is interested in the Favorite-Fit Super...If anybody is interested in the Favorite-Fit Super 120s Ludlow Suiting Trousers, I just listed 4 of them on Ebay this morning - I had purchased them in a size 12 which ended up being too big for me, and with all of Jcrew's shipping/return problems I thought it might be easier just to resell them on my own than return and wait for them to credit me.

They are listed on ebay.ca, and I have them in all 4 colours (navy, coal, espresso and black) in a size 12. Brand new and never worn, with tags still attached, for $24.99. If anyone is interested, the item numbers are as follows:
300245266392
300245266711
300245267643
300245268009

I'm sorry for posting this on here, its just that I just listed them today and in the past, I haven't been able to sell anything - I just realized today its b/c I can only seem to list on Ebay Canada, and not the main Ebay site...I know there are some Canadians on this site so if you are interested at all, msg me on ebay and bid away! I also have a size 32 Cropped Matchstick Jean and a size 12 Lana top for sale as well.

Thanks!!!ahttps://www.blogger.com/profile/14146230842509664782noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-1317882250647868056.post-10613585038965983012008-07-26T14:58:00.001-04:002008-07-26T14:58:00.001-04:00That commercial was cute!I think J.Crew might oper...That commercial was cute!

I think J.Crew might operate on the same principle as Williams-Sonoma. Up until last year, Williams-Sonoma did no advertising whatsoever, relying solely on word of mouth about the quality of product. It was a huge deal to the company when they did a bridal registry ad because that was the first time they'd ever done that type of promotion.

J.Crew may rely on the same concept. People buy on the reputation of the company. They tend to have life-long shoppers and try to keep people in that way (I guess except for recently with the whole Website fiasco).Anonymousnoreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-1317882250647868056.post-37859317211280611532008-07-26T14:58:00.000-04:002008-07-26T14:58:00.000-04:00Off topic...does J.Crew have a Women's ONLY store?...Off topic...does J.Crew have a Women's ONLY store? I was just wondering since the Men are supposed to be getting their own store, do the women get one, as well? Maybe if my store didn't have the back half full of men's clothing, then they could get in all of the items I always want to see, but have to order from the website since my store doesn't carry them...just a thought...

btw...speaking of the website...it's down again...Melissa@AllThingsSimplifiedhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/06076948687302539385noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-1317882250647868056.post-1107176940590597832008-07-26T14:42:00.000-04:002008-07-26T14:42:00.000-04:00La Belle Helene: I love the Gap commercials! I also loved SJP with the Gap- I bought the pants she was wearing in one of her ads in all the colors they offered. :)

FabulousFloridaMommy: I know exactly what you mean! I don't necessarily want them to have commercials too much- because it might cheapen the image (depending on the style they go with).

Annette: Thanks for the update on the EXTRA20 code. I hope it does work until Monday (like J.Crew originally promoted). :)

Anonymous at 2:28PM: I have to say that I don't remember a cologne either. I was very disappointed yesterday to see that the Lisa dress was sold out, given that I live in Atlanta and we still have two months of hot weather left! Today I checked back and it had reappeared...all colors and all sizes! I got it for $23.99 (with the EXTRA20 code)--regular price was $88! Woo hoo! On the other hand they put out a great catalogue, which BR stopped doing years ago; on the other hand, BR does print advertising.

I do enjoy some of the videos J.Crew posts on its site. So it must be an easy way to stretch the advertising dollar.

I would think that JCrew would get more mileage out of print ads in magazines, and doing spot commercials for holidays to gain the additional revenue at best. I like JCrew for style/"it" items, but if everyone started walking down the street with them, it looses its cache, IMHO.Amethysthttps://www.blogger.com/profile/07486810628325271955noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-1317882250647868056.post-84327606949267274512008-07-26T10:21:00.000-04:002008-07-26T10:21:00.000-04:00it aired back in 2005it aired back in 2005Anonymousnoreply@blogger.com
