The grey will be esp. beautiful in the Spring but I love it with the light berry and plums of this season. The blue is fun for Summer in so many ways and of course works right now. This is a super versatile and although somewhat run-of-the-mill shirt, it's somehow kinda "different". Maybe 'cause it's for women?? I don't know.sweetsyhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/08791459049892002878noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-1317882250647868056.post-69804597209694858022010-01-09T15:20:18.768-05:002010-01-09T15:20:18.768-05:00For those who like this pattern, Club Monaco is of...For those who like this pattern, Club Monaco is offering a pencil skirt in a large gingham check. It should be available in stores in March. The style is similar to J.Crew's cotton perfect pencil skirt from summer 2008 with the slant pockets just under the waistband. As far as I know it will be available in gray/white, not sure of the other colors.ShuLvrhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/04321544374197981014noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-1317882250647868056.post-36423007898653473452010-01-09T14:30:15.397-05:002010-01-09T14:30:15.397-05:00Thank-you Carrie, your information is very helpful...Thank-you Carrie, your information is very helpful.Anonymousnoreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-1317882250647868056.post-65454473004237793062010-01-09T11:17:56.985-05:002010-01-09T11:17:56.985-05:00Causal-Crew, I have the suckered gingham shirt in ...Causal-Crew, I have the suckered gingham shirt in blackberry. Also looks great worn under my bayberry trench coat. Initially I thought the cotton was rather thin for my tastes but it washes well and is so soft. But ...I agree it's a really nice-looking shirt. But IMO it's an odd balance of casual (the cut and pattern) and more dressy (the finer cotton) that doesn't work for me. Since it's boxy, I imagine it wouldn't look terrific untucked (for a casual office environment, for example) as the Perfect Shirts do. I'm not a tucker, so I decided to pass on it.

However, I did find an identical flannel version at The Gap before Christmas and it has become my new weekend casual cozy shirt. I love the smaller-scale check and it looks great untucked with jeans and boots.farmgirlhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/11510967097446525411noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-1317882250647868056.post-76628100892057923912010-01-08T10:59:13.745-05:002010-01-08T10:59:13.745-05:00Lindsey B,

LOL Great minds think alike!

I do own the J. Crew version in Navy and I love it. It is great for casual Fridays. Like FFM, I have the Gap BF blazer and I pair it with that and dark trouser jeans with flats. I always get compliments at work. Best part is that I have worn this shirt at least a dozen times now and it seems to be holding up quite well in comparison to some of my other blouses/ tops from J. Crew.
